New grammar rules?

Almost 3-year old Charlie: I don't like it when you "upside down" me!
Me: I didn't know "upside down" was a verb.
Charlie: Verb, verb, verb, verb, verb.
Me: Charlie, do you even know what a verb is?
Charlie: Yes, it's a belly button.

Me and Max

On this day when Pres. Obama is headed to Ground Zero, Max and I were talking about 9/11 and he asked what is now where the WTC buildings once were. I told him there were going to be memorial pools.
MAX: What's a memorial?
ME: It's a thing or a place where we go to remember somebody.
MAX: Oh, like the Lincoln memorial.
ME: Exactly!
MAX: And like the Baltimore memorial.
ME: [Thinking, thinking, thinking] Ohhhhhh, you mean the Baltimore Orioles?
MAX: Yes.
ME: They are a baseball team, not a memorial.
